Those involved in drug trafficking seen together with 157 kilos of Ephedrine powder.	Maung Nyo arrested together with 21 kilos of Ephedrine powder.

YANGON, 31 Aug-Local intelligence unit, acting on information, waiting at 35th Street (between 75th Street and 76th Street), Maha-Aungmye Township, Mandalay, on 12 August, arrested Aung Zaw Haiku (a) AE Haiku, son of U Shwe Tin, of No 36, Myoma Ward, Tam, Aung Naing Win (a) Hang Lay, son of U Ba Aung, of 181/94, 25th Street (between 86th Street and 87th Street), ,Aungmyethazan Township, Mandalay, Khin Maung Than, son of U Chit Naing, of 82, 12th Street between 80th Street and 81st Street), Aungmyethazan Township, and David Htan Hswam Pau, son of U Zamzakat, of 194, Bogyoke Street, Botahtaung Township, Yangon, together with 157 kgs of Ephedrine powder.

On further investigation, Kam Khant Khaing (a) Maung Khaing, owner of the Ephedrine, son of U Zandolian, of Region 14, Panlon Ward, Kalay, Chit Ko Ko (a ) Byagyi, son of U Hla Shein, of 82nd Street (between 32nd Street and 33rd Street), Chanayethazan Township, Mandalay, Thaw Zin Oo (a) Kyinmu (a) Katzakyin, son of U Shinzapaung, of Aungmingalar Ward, Kalay, and Thet Naung, son of U Kyaw Swe, of Zabeimyaung Village, Monyo Township. On further investigation, Maung Nyo, son of U Ye Hsai, of Namhsan, was nabbed with 21 kgs of Ephedrine powder.

Action was taken against them under the Narcotic Drugs, and Psychotropic Substances Law.
