120.54 kilos of raw opium seized in Hopong

Yangon, 11 June

, A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, searched a Hilux car with number plates Ba/7496 driven by Tint Lwin Oo, son of U Tin Tun of Ward-1 in Panglong at a check point in Hopong, Southern Shan State, on 4 June and seized 82 packets of raw opium, weighing 120.54 kilos, kept in the paint boxes.

Action is being taken against him under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law by the police station concerned.
