30,000 stimulant tablets seized

30 April – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and

Myanmar Police Force, acting on a tip-off, intercepted the passenger buses on

Lashio-Tangyan Road, Shan State (North) on 20 April and discovered 30,000

stimulant tablets bearing WY letters from passengers Ngo Kar, son of U Aik Ngaw

of Zay Ward, Hopan and Sai Tun Aung, son of U Sam Kaw Lain of Tachilek who were

on board a van with number plates (Ah/9536). Action was taken against them by

the police station concerned under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances
