Stimulant tablets seized in Phakant
Yangon,
15 May – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on a tip-off, searched Sawasdeekhap Restaurant in
Ward-4, Bamakhan Village, Phakant Township, Kachin State, on 26 April, and
arrested Sein Tun, son of U Tun Aung of No C-64, Thayagon Ward, Seikmu Village,
Phakant Township, together with 3,000 stimulant tablets concealed on his body.
Action has been taken against him under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic
Substances Law by the police station concerned.
