Stimulant tablets seized in Tachilek

24 May – A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on a tip-off, searched the house of Maung Htwe, son
of U Ann of Thazin Street-2, Hsanhsaing Ward-A, Tachilek, on 7 May and nabbed
him together with 250 stimulant tablets.
On further investigation, police arrested Aik Aon, son of U
Aik Naw of No-5/20, Hsanhsaing Ward-A, Tachi-lek, together with 9,130 stimulant
tablets. In this case, the two were apprehended together with a total of 9,380
stimulant tablets. Action is being taken against them under the Narcotic Drugs
and Psychotropic Substances Law by the police station concerned.
