Poppy plantations destroyed in Pinlaung Township 22

16 Oct – A combined team comprising of members of Myanmar Police Force,

departmental staff in cooperation with members of Special Region-6 in Shan State

(South), on 19 September destroyed 10.28 acres of poppy plantation at estimated

map references of (R-348478) near Htitamaung Village in Pinmon Village Tract,

Pinlaung Township. Similarly, a total of 35 acres of poppy plantation-10 acres

at estimated map reference (R 374243), 15 acres at (R 381254), four acres at (R

385254) and six acres at (R 387245)- near Leintar Village in the township were
