4.486 million stimulant
tablets seized on Nawnghkio-Mandalay motorroad

Bauk Lan and Yan Tar Yin Together with 4.486 million stimulant tablets.
YANGON,
13 July – Acting on information, a combined team comprising members of the local
intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force, waiting along Nawnghkio-Mandalay
motor-road in Banbwe Village, Nawnghkio Township, and searched a Dyna with
number plate B/5117 with Aung Pa, son of U Dwe Lam, at the corner of 41st street
and 61 st street, Myothit Ward, Mandalay, at the wheel, and seized 4.486 million
stimulant tablets hidden in six tar drums.
On further investigation, Ye Myint (a) Myo
Myint, son of U Aung Chin Pha, of Kaungkha Myothit, Kutkai Township, Twan Supha
(a) Laukpa, son of U Twan Kwe Lu, of Shauk Monye Village, Kutkai Township, Bauk
Lan, son of U Jammawgum, of Ward 3, Hsenwi, and Yan Tar Yin, son of U Yan Tar
Kyoun, of Ward 5, Lashio were then arrested.
Action was taken against them under the
Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
