Heroin seized in Kalay
YANGON,
17 June – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, searched the house of U Gin Khan
Hauk of Region 5 Pinlon Ward, Kalay and seized Khinn Lyan Paung(a)Pa Paung, drug
trafficker of Tweiman Village in Tunzan Township on 7 June 2000.
After further investigation, the team also
searched the house of U Kyaw Thein of Tarhan Region 18, Kalay, being rented by
Khinn Lyan Paung and seized three packets of heroin weighing 68.58 gms hidden in
two lady shoes in an iron box.
Action is being taken against him under the
Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
