seen together with 25.5 kilograms of ephedrine powder.
YANGON,
24 June – Acting on information, a combined team comprising the local
intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force searched the house of Ko Lar (a) Saya
Lar, son of U San, of Hmawby Village, Poun-ngu Village-tract, Nyaungshwe
Township, Shan State (South) on 13 June 2000 and found 25.5 kgs of ephedrine
powder.
()n further investigation, Myint Lwin, son
of U San Nyar, of Phetnan Village, Taunglaylon Village-tract, Taunggyi Township
and Maung Oo (a) Aung Tun, son of U Nyo, of No 4/ 5, Yadana Street, Region 4,
Danatheikdi Ward, Shwenyaung, Taunggyi Township were then arrested.
Action was taken against them under the
Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
