5 kilos of brown opium
seized in Amarapura Township

Nov-A combined team comprising local intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force,
acting on information, at Myitnge Bridge, Amarapura Township, Mandalay, on 20
November this year, searched an air-conditioned bus with number plate 2kha/5074
and arrested passenger U Mya Thaung together with three packages of brown opium
weighing 5 kilos. Action was taken against U Mya Thaung, son of U Sein, of
Chanmyathazi, Mandalay, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances
Law.
