Heroin and stimulants
seized in Chanmyathazi Township
Yangon,
5 April – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, searched the house of Aik Nyo of
Ward 1, Myothit in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay and arrested him and his wife
Ma Hmway together with 0.18174 kilo of heroin and 6,600 stimulant tablets kept
in the ceiling and floor of the house on 7 March.
The police station concerned
took action against them under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
