pills seized in Dagon
Yangon,
2 July – Members of local intelligence unit and local police force, acting on
information, while lying in wait near the International Hotel at the corner of
Ahlon Street and Pyay Road, searched Kyaw Thu Latt (a) Kyaw Thu of Myoma Ward,
Mogok, and found 52 ” Ecstasy” pills on 16 June. After further
investigation, the authorities arrested the owner of the drugs, See Kyin (a)
Asan of Bogyoke Street, Tangyan. The police station concerned has taken action
against them under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
