Heroin seized in Lashio
Yangon,
12 May – A combined team comprising local military intelligence unit members and
policemen, acting on information, searched the house of U Lauk Ngin at 505, Ward
7, Region 6, Lashio, Shan State (North), on 29 April, and seized Ma Lwam Nyee,
daughter-in-law of U Lauk Ngin and owners of heroin Ma Ban Mon, daughter of U
Kyaw Gam of Khemathiri Block, Ward 7, Region 1, Lashio and Ma Mar Kaing (a) Ma
Kaing Thang, daughter of U La Mon of Banmun village, Mongyaw village-tract,
Lashio Township, together with 0.24 kilo of heroin kept in the 20 soap cases.
Action has been taken against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic
Substances Law.
