Stimulant tablets seized in
Lashio

15 Feb – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, while waiting on Thazin Road, Ward 1, region 1, Lashio,
Shan State (North), acting on information, searched Yanchin Kun (a) Bran Mai,
son of U Yan Ann of ward 5, region 20, Lashio, and found 50,000 stimulant
tablets on him on 7 January.
On further investigation, the combined team searched the
house of Le Kyi Phu, owner of the drug, son of U Le Phakhe of No 326, Kan Mein
Kyaung Road, Ward 12, region 12, Lashio, and Le Kyi Phu and Le Ar Sone (a) Lauk
Al, son of U Le Yon Paung of Ward 12, region 4, Lashio, were also arrested
together with 10,000 stimulant tablets and K 1,050,000 of selling of drug. Next,
the authorities also searched the another house of Le Kyi Phu at Mannar Village,
Lashio Township, and seized 400,000 stimulant tablets. Police station concerned
filed them under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotrophic Substances Law.
