Two heroin traffickers arrested

19 July – Two men were arrested in a case in which 760 grams of heroin were
seized from a jeep without number plate on Muse-Panhsai road near Nantaung
village in Muse Township at 5 pm on 16 June. The drugs were found on the jeep
which was on its way to Panhsai when a combined team comprising members of local
intelligence unit and special anti-drug squad intercepted the car near the
village. Phon Lichan, 19, was at the wheel and the car owner, Yaw Seinkon, 40,
was also on the car. Kyugok-Panhsai Police station has taken action against the
two, Phon Lichan, son of U Phon Kyanhon of No 97, Ward 5, Kyugok, and Yaw
Seinkon, son of U Yaw Yinphu, of No 44, Ward 6, Kyugok, under Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotrophic Substances Law.
