Raw opium seized in Bago

7 June – A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit, Bago

Special Anti-drug Squad and Toungoo Police Station-2, acting on information,

searched the house of Daw Than Myint at No 64, Nyeinchanye 3rd street, Ward 13

in Toungoo on 23 May and seized 108.17 gm of raw opium hidden in the latrine and

on the roof of the house of Daw San Wai, who lived next to the former in the

same compound. Action is being taken against Daw Than Myint, 56, daughter of U

Tin Maung, and Daw San Wai, 46, daughter of U Tun Myint, of No 64, Nyeinchanye

3rd street, Ward 13 in Toungoo under section 15/19 (A)/21 of the Narcotic Drugs
