Heroin seized in Muse
Yangon,
20 May – A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on a tip-off, stopped and searched the motor-cycle
driven by Aik Yun, son of U Ywet Sai of Ywama Ward, Mongyu (105th mile) Village,
Muse Township, on Muse-Lashio Road near Mongyu (105th mile) Village, in Muse
Township, Shan State (North) on 5 May and arrested him together with 0.04 kilo
of heroin in the two soap cases. Action is being taken against him by the police
station concerned under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
