Marijuana seized in Bago

Yangon, 28 May –

A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and Bago Special

Anti-drug Squad, acting on information, intercepted a bus with number plates

2Ka/1682, on its way from Yeni to Yangon, at the Toll Gate at the entrance to

Bago on 21 April.

The authorities nabbed passenger Ma Shwe Kyi (a) Ma Myint Kyi

together with 3.2 kilos of marijuana. Action is being taken against Ma Shwe Kyi

(a) Ma Myint Kyi, 35, daughter of U Hla Kyaing of Hlinethaya Township, under

section 15/19 (A) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
