Over 210,000 stimulant tablets seized in Lashio

Yangon, 21 Jan – Acting on the information, a combined team comprising members of regional battalions and units, intelligence unit of Myanmar Police Force searched a white Pajero 2Kha/7763, which was to leave Lashio for Mandalay, at Sintin check point in Lashio, Shan State (North), on 14 January.

The group arrested Kyaw Thu (a) Li Kwan Yon, 30, son of U Li Kyon Hwa of Laukkai and Kyaw Kyaw (a) Ar Hwa, 21, son of U Ran Tei Chan together with WY brand 213,8000 stimulant tablets hidden under the floor of the car. Driver Li Chan and car owner Ar Hwa (a) Ran Sun Hwa escaped.
