Phensedyl seized in Maungtaw

ANGON, 2 May- A combined team comprising members of Defence
Services Intelligence f Unit, Maungtaw Township Myanmar Police Force and Ward Peace and
Development Council, acting on information, searched the house of Ma Da Hla, daughter of U Maung
Yin Oo of Datywa Street, Ward 1, Maungtaw, on 18 April evening. They seized 21 100 ml bottles of
Phensedyl made in India kept in a box hidden in her house.
According to further information, the authorities found
nine 100-ml bottles of Phensedyl hidden under the fuel wood of Ma Ar Zu Ba’s house, daughter of
U Wa Rip of East Gonna Ward, Shweza Village-tract, Maungtaw, and two 100-ml bottles of Phensedyl
hidden underground behind the house of Frenna (a) Eliya, son of Arliamauk of Gonna Village.
Action is taken against them under the Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotrophic Substances Law.
