Opium seized in Phakant

YANGON, 9 Sept – A combined team comprising members of regional
intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force searched the house of U Gan Sai in Ayemyatha
Ward, Phakant Township on 27 August.

They seized two packets of opium weighing 3.002
kilos from owner Maung Maung, son of U Chit Tin of Hngetpyawdaw Ward in Phakant and Ma
Hsai Mai, daughter of U La Ga Tu of the same township.

Action is taken against them according to law.
