Food and Drug Control

    

Necessary measures to ensure availability of good quality, less harmful food and

pharmaceutical products in the country had been undertaken. The Food and Drug

Administration was established under the Department of Health in January 1995, to

supervise and control manufacturing, importing, exporting, storage, distribution and

selling of food and pharmaceutical products. Food and Drug supervisory committees at State

and Division, District and township level have been established according to the enacted

National Drug Law.
