Traditional Medicine Indigenous Medical Care is provided by 6 traditional hospitals and 200 traditional medical clinics. The Department of Traditional Medicine has been upgraded and reorganized and traditional medical clinics and practitioners have increased considerably. New traditional hospitals have been opened in Mandalay and Yangon and these have been upgraded to 50 bedded hospitals.
