The DSW has taken responsibility to provide rehabilitation service for the disabled. The Department established a school for disabled children, a vocational training school for adult disabled, a school for the blind and a school for the deaf where inmates are given special education as well as vocational training such as cane work, massage, bamboo work, astrology, silk-screen printing, hair-dressing, carpentry, book binding, off-set printing, etc. There are also 3 schools for the blind and 1 school for the deaf run by the voluntary organizations. |
