30,800 stimulant pills
seized in Mandalay

10 April – Members of the local intelligence unit and local Myanmar Police
Force, acting on information, while waiting near Ayeyatun flats in Thanlyethmaw
(South) Ward in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Division, seized Yin Htwe (a)
Aik Sin of Chanayethazan Township and Kyaw Oo of Tampawady Ward in Chanmyathazi
Township, who arrived there to trade drugs, together with 30,800 stimulant
tablets bearing the words “WY” on 12 March. On further investigation,
owner of the stimulants Aik Than of Taungmyint Ward in Pyigyidagun Township and
his accomplice Aik Tun (a) Zaw Min Tun were arrested.
Action has been taken
against them in accord with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
