Opium seized in
Pinlaung
Yangon,
3 April – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit, Myanmar
Police Force and Ward Peace and Development Council, acting on information,
searched the house of U Kut, son of U Tone, at Yein (Kayin) Village,
Myaukhtiphwa Village-tract in Pinlaung Township, Shan State (South) and seized
two packets of raw opium weighing 2.775 kilo wrapped in blue rain coat plastic
sheet and kept in a bamboo basket.
Action is being taken against him in accord
with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law by the Myanmar Police
Station concerned.
