Raw opium seized in Kutkai

25 July- A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, searched the house of Daw Wu Hsaing,
daughter of U Wu Shaung Chike, of Ward 3, Nantpheka Village in Kutkai Township,
Shan State (North) on 30 June. The authorities arrested her together with 17
packets of raw opium weighing 26.122 kilos. Action is being taken against her
under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law by the police station
concerned.
