90,000 stimulant tablets
seized in Nankhan

30 May – A combined team comprising local intelligence unit, Muse Special
Anti-Drug Squad and local police force, acting on information, Lay in wait at a
house in Pauk Ward, Nankhan, on 9 May, and arrested Yan Yon Shin (a) Yansu,
after struggling with him. They seized with 90,000 stimulant tablets weighing 9
kilos, one M20 pistol, one magazine, one round and one motorcycle. The
authorities then searched his house in New Bamaw Ward, Nankhan and found one No
2 air rifle, three M22 rounds, one DT motorcycle, which is being used in drug
trafficking and 11 kinds of jewellery, which are believed to be realized from
the sale of drugs at the house of Ma Kyi (a) Ma Khin Aye Kyi who is at large.
Nankhan Police Station took action against Yan Yon Shin (a) Yansu, 25, son of U
Yan Lu, of New Bamaw Ward, Nankhan and Ma Kyi (a) Ma Khin Aye Kyi, 43, daughter
of U Hla Kyaw, of Sayedan Ward, Nankhan, who is at large under Section 15/19
(A)/20 (A)/22(B)/21 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
