0.88 kg of heroin seized in

1 Sept – A combined team comprising the members of the local intelligence unit
and Myanmar Police Force, acting on a tip-off, searched Ma Arywe (a) Nang Nyunt
Han, daughter of U La Shi Tan of No 68, Myoma Ward 4, Kyukok (Pansai), and
Brutja, son of U Gat Phan of Pangel Village, Kutkai Township, in Ward 4, Kyukok
(Pansai), Shan State (North) on 7 August. The combined team seized 44 soap boxes
with 0.02 kg of heroin each totalling 0.88 kg from the polyethylene bag which
they carried. Legal action is being taken against these two by the police
station concerned in accord with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances
Law.
