stimulant tablets seized in Taunggyi
YANGON,
29 Sept – A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on information and lying in wait at Shuhmyawkhin
Street, Region-11, Thittaw Ward, Taunggyi, Shan State (South), on 19 September,
searched Sai Kham Mon, son of U Hla Kyaw, of Uyin Ward, Banyin, and Aung Aung,
son of U Aung Tin, of Wapya Street, Region-5, Kyaungkyisu Ward, Taunggyi, who
arrived at that place to push drugs. Altogether 5,950 stimulant tablets were
seized on their persons. Further investigation was followed by the arrest of Sai
Twan Kham, son of U Kyaw Hla, of Mingalar Ward, Banyin, and Sai Kyaw Moe, son of
U Hla Kyaw, of Uyin Ward, Banyin. Action is being taken against them according
to the Narcotic Drugs and Psycho-tropic Substances Law.
