Heroin seized in Lashio

YANGON, 9
Sept – A combined team comprising local intelligence and Myanmar Police Force,
acting on information, at the Mandalay fork of Lashio Tantyan Road, stopped and
searched a van with number plate Bha/9636 leading from Lashio to Kyaukme, and
arrested passenger Ma Aye Aye (a) Ma Swe Yi, daughter of U Lawru, of Ward 4,
Laukkai, together with 22 boxes of heroin weighing 0.352 kg on 12 August 2000.

Action was taken against her under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances
Law.
