2.123 kilos of raw
opium seized
YANGON,
18 Aug – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and MPF,
acting on information, raided and searched the “Seinyaungche” tea
shop, of Ward 3, Aungban, Shan State (South) on 3 August, and arrested Kyaw
Myint Thein, son of U Kaw Yin, of Pyawbwe Village, Mohnyin, Township and Ma Ngwe
Kyi, daughter of U Hla Tun, of Ywathit Ward, Aungban, who were at the tea shop,
with 2.123 kilos of raw opium in their possesion.
Action is being taken against the two
according to law.
