Raw opium seized in
Myitnge
YANGON,
19 Aug – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and MPF,
acting on information, searched a passenger car at the check-point of Myitnge
Bridge, Singaing Township, Mandalay Division, on 6 August and arrested Khun Than
Win, son of U Mya, of Phoni Village in Pinlaung Township together with 2.1229
kilos of raw opium on board Hi-Ace passenger light truck (2 Kagyi/1872).
Action is being taken against him under the
Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
