Drug traffickers seen together with heroin.
YANGON,
22 Feb – Kyaw Win, driver of a Hilux vehicle (Kha/5366), son of U Aik San of
Ward 6, Lashio, Khon Aing (a) Shwe Htoo, son of U Khon Kwe of Mawtan Region,
Mohnyin, and Sai Maung Lin, son of U Aik Tun of Ward 6, Lashio, who were on the
vehicle, were arrested together with heroin weighing 1.58335 kilos hidden in one
hundred soap-cases, a 9 mm pistol, two magazines and 14 rounds of ammunition by
a combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and Myanmar Police
Force, on 9 February, at an inspection gate at the entrance to Nawnghkio, while
making a search after receiving information.

Aung Thein Kyaw (a) Maung Kyaw nabbed with
stimulant tablets,
opium oil and Ephedrine powder in Chanmyathazi on 11
February.
A similar combined team, acting on
information, searched the house of Aung Thein Kyaw (a) Maung Kyaw, son of U Aung
Hla of Myothit Ward 2, Chanmyathazi, Mandalay, on 11 February and arrested him
together with 145,75 stimulant tablets, 0.7 litre of opium oil and 200 grams of
Ephedrine.
Action is being taken against the four
according to law.
