79,000 stimulant
tablets seized in Shan State
YANGON,
20 July – A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, while waiting at the lane near
Nilar Tun Guest House, Kutkai, Shan State (North) arrested Branja of Ward 4,
Kutkai together with 79,000 stimulant tablets bearing the word “W Y”.
On further investigation, the authorities found a Toyota Van with number plate
2 Ka 8611 which was used in trafficking and a Point 38 pistol made in Germ
any on 26 June.
Action has been taken
against him in accord with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
