150 kilos of Ephedrine powder in Mandalay on 20 February.
YANGON,
4 March – A combined team comprising members of regional intelligence unit,
acting on information, searched Tin Thein’s house, 78th street between 10th and
11th streets, Dawai ward, Aungmyethazan Township. Mandalay on 20 February and
arrested Myint Thein (a) Aung Myint Thein, son of U Ba Thein, 44 Block, East
Amarahtani Ward, Aungmyethazan Township, Mandalay, together with 159 kilos of
Ephedrine powder. According to further information, the team arrested Myint Wai,
son of U Nyein, Kwai Gyi Ward, Monywa Township on 22nd February in connection
with the case.
Action is being taken against
them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
