Over 4 kilos of opium seized in
Monai
YANGON,
5 May – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, while waiting in front of Myoma Basic Education Middle
School on Pyidaungsu Road in Pawmong Ward, Monai, on 18 April, stopped a
trawler-G bus with number plate Ma Na/91 which left Monai Railway Station.
The team members seized passenger Daw Nang
Hsaung, daughter of U Kanna of Pawmong Ward, Monei, with three packets of opium
weighing 4.4091 kilos.
Action has been taken against her under the
Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
