Marijuana seized in Kawkareik

Yangon, 6 July –

A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit and Hpa-an

Special Anti-drug Squad and the local police force, acting on information,

stopped and searched a trishaw pedaled by Zaw Min Htaik (a) Zaw Htaik (a)

Shaolin in front of the ticket booth of the Football Ground in Ward 3, Kawkareik

on 12 June, this year and seized 816.47 gms of marijuana. Action is being taken

against Zaw Min Htaik (a) Zaw Htaik (a) Shaolin, 26, son of U Bala Gyi of Strand

Road, Ward 3 in Kawkareik under section 15/19 (A)/20 (A) of the Narcotic Drugs

and Psychotropic Substances Law by Kawkareik Police Station.
