Stimulant tablets seized in Phakant

Yangon, 3 June –

A combined team comprising members of Myitkyina Anti-Drug Squad and No 8

intelligence unit, acting on information, searched the house rented by Ma Ti

Khaung Nywai (a) Ma Ban of Ward 3, Hseikmu Village, Phakant Township, and seized

a total of 3,455 stimulant tablets bearing the words WY from the bedroom on 18

May. In connection with the case, Phakant Police Station filed a law suit

against Ma Ti Khaung Nywai, 31, daughter of U Khun Myat. Action is being taken

against her under Section 15/19(A) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances

Law by the police station concerned.
