207,000 stimulant tablets, ammunition seized in Tachilek

14 May – A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, searched the house at No (2/40) on
2nd street, Mekhong Ward, Tachilek Township, Shan State (East), on 4 May and
arrested Le Ar Yon, son of U Aik Htaung who lives in Pansan and Ar Kham, son of
U Aik Htar who lives in Hopan together with 162,000 stimulant tablets, one .32
pistol, 4 rounds of ammunition and a magazine.
According to interrogation, the authorities searched the
house at No (2/35) in the same street and arrested Aik Pin, son of U Lon Ye
together with 45,000 stimulant tablets. Action is taken against these
traffickers by the police station concerned under Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotropic Substances Law.
