600 kilos of ephedrine powder seized

Yangon, 27 May –

A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and Muse Special

Anti-drug squad, acting on a tip-off, searched a 15 feet long and 10 feet wide

hut in Ward-6, Kyukok Pangsang near China-Myanmar border and arrested Yansantok,

40, son of U Yan Ta of Myintan Village, Kyukok Pangsang Township together with

12 packets of ephedrine powder weighing 600 kilos on 11 May. Action is being

taken against him under section 15/16 (B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic

Substances Law by the police station concerned.
