Heroin seized in Monkoe
Yangon, 23 Jan – A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence Unit and Myanmar Police Force, acting on a tip-off, on 9 January searched a van with the number plates Ba/4957 at the Manje check-point in Monekoe, northern Shan State, and seized a passenger named Shao Shi Chant together with 38 blocks of heroin
weighing 0.304 kilo. Action is being taken against Shao Shi Chant, son of U Lawta of Pyikyaing Village, Lonlin, Yunnan Province, China, under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
