Heroin, arms seized in Tachilek

4 June- A combined team comprising Tatmadaw members of local battalion, members of
intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, searched the house of
Aik Shan at Lunkyaing Village in Haunglek Village-tract, Tachilek Township, Shan State
(East), on 22 May.
      Though the authorities could not find Aik Shan there, they nabbed Sai
Nyunt, son of U Hu Min, Aik Lwan, son of U Lon Pin and Nan Aik, son of U Aik Yi of the
village, together with 20 blocks of heroin weighing seven kilos, WY
brand 279,000 stimulant tablets, ephedrine powder weighing 24 kilos, an American-made .32
pistol and one magazine, a Germany-made 9mm pistol and one magazine, 750 rounds of
ammunition of .32 revolver, 136 rounds of ammunition of 9mm pistol, 280 rounds of
ammunition of .22 pistol, 850. rounds of ammunitions of .25 revolver, two silencers and
one American-made grenade without fuse.
      Action is taken against them under being the Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotrophic Substances Law.
