306,000 stimulant tablets, arms seized

 

Yangon, 3 March — A combined group comprising members of local battalion and intelligence unit searched a van 1Ka/7062 driven by Soe Aung, 45, son of U Yoe of Yay-ayekwin ward in Taunggyi, at Kunhein check point, Shan State (East), on 12 February.

 

The group nabbed Tun Aung, 30, son of U Aik San of Pansang Village, Pansang Township, Tun Hla, 30, son of U Lauk Cheng, Nyan Win (a) Aik San , 30, son of U San Khwa and Aik Chan (a) Naing Swe, 20, son of U Lauk Hsan of Hopang Village, Kunlong Township, who were riding in the car with WY brand 306,000 stimulant tablets, three M-20 pistols, 22 rounds of ammunition, three magazines and two 2-G walkie-talkies.

Myanmar Police Force in Kunhein Township is taking action against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.— MNA
