Opium
seized in Phakant
YANGON, 30 Aug- A combined team
comprising members of local battalion, local intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force, acting on
information, searched the house of Khin Mar Swe, daughter of U Hset Kyi of No 1/100, Ward
1, Phakant Township, on 25 July.
The members seized two packets of opium weighing 2.2862 kilograms
in the bedroom and nabbed the owner of the house and opium trafficker Myint Swe of A/80,
Mashikahtaung Ward of Phakant Township.
Action is taken against them under the Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotropic Substances Law.
