95,000 stimulant tablets
seized in Lashio

combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and Lashio Special
Anti-Drug Squad, acting on information, searched the house of Aik Maung in Ward
12, Lashio, on 2 August 2000 and arrested Sai San Win, 27, son of U Shwe Kyaung
of Ward 2, Nanzalat Village, Hsenwi Township and Kyaw Hla (a) Hla Kyaw, 24, son
of U Ywet Khan, of Ward 12, Lashio who were at the house together with 95,000 WY
brand stimulant tablets weighing 8.55 kilos. Aik Maung, owner of the house,
managed to escape during the bust. Action was taken against the two under
Section 15/19 (A)/21 of Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law.
