Stimulant
tablets seized in Tachilek

11 May – A combined team comprising
local intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force, acting on information, on 28
April, searched room No 2 of building No C/92, Shwedagon Pagoda Road, Makaokham
Ward, Tachilek, Shan State (East), and arrested Ma Nan Sein and her daughter Ma
Nan Wo Thaung together with 390,000 stimulant tablets. Further investigation led
to the arrest of Ma Aye Aye Kyaing (a) Ma Nge who carried the drugs with the use
of a Van with Number plate 3 Kha/4699, and ownerless 74,000 stimulant pills at
No 8 of building No 6/24, Fifth Street, Hsanhsai (Low) Ward, Tachilek.
Action was taken against Ma Nan
Sein, daughter of U Thein Aung of Lwemway Street, Ward 2, Pahlyan Village,
Kengtung Township, and her daughter Ma Nan Wo Thaung and Ma Aye Aye Kyaing (a)
Ma Nge, daughter of U Khin Kyaing of No 1/18, Bogyoke Street, Wankaung Ward,
Tachilek, under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
