Nga-Ye-Pan Military Operation Phase 5
From 15 December 1984 to 5 April 1985, in 12 townships of Eastern
Command and North-Eastern Command region,21048 acres of poppy
fields were destroyed by Nga-Ye-Pan Military Operation Phase 5.
Tatmadaw men, Police Forces, People’s militia and local people joined
hands in the operations. Tatmadaw lost 2 men, and had 7 injured. Four
enemies were captured alive and l surrendered with l O arms seized. Ten
were killed from the enemy side.
