In those operations launched from10 December I 9S6 to 4 March
1987 in 9 townships from Eastern Shan States and l5 townships from
Southern- Shan State, and 10 townships from Northern Shan State of
North-Eastern Command area, about 17595.2 acres of poppy fields were
destroyed by the Tatmadaw.
