Heroin, raw opium and
stimulant tablets seized in Kachin State
YANGON,
23 Aug – A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit and
Myanmar Police Force, acting on information searched the house of U Chin Wu of
Ward 1, Lweje in Kachin State and arrested him together with 24 kilos of raw
opium on 7 August.
Then, the team searched the house of Ma
Myan Khway and arrested Ma Myan Khway and Hlo Law Kyan (a) Law Lu of Ward 2,
Lweje together with 5.635 kilos of heroin, 22.2 kilos of raw opium and 5,490
stimulant tablets.
Action was taken against them in accord
with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
